Welcome to the Martin Lab at Tufts!
The Martin lab officially opened in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University in January 2026.
The Martin Lab develops next-generation cellular immunotherapies to treat cancer, inflammatory disease, and transplant rejection, with a particular focus on natural killer (NK) cell engineering. We combine genetic engineering, protein engineering, and targeted delivery technologies to enhance immune cell function, improve therapeutic precision, and overcome barriers such as immune suppression and rejection. Our current work is centered on developing clinically translatable therapies for liver disease.
We welcome inquiries from creative, driven students excited about applying engineering principles to immunotherapy.
